Kaski: Dr. Ram Baran Yadav, Nepal's first President, has highlighted the importance of establishing the rule of law and constitutionalism during the inauguration of the 17th general assembly and 12th convention of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Kaski chapter.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Yadav emphasized that the information and communications sector can only thrive in a democratic system. He called on the government to adhere strictly to the principles of a free press as enshrined in the Constitution. "The country should be governed as per the Constitution and law. The media sector should be a path shower in adhering to the Constitution largely as part of its duty," he stated.

Dr. Yadav also stressed the need for the top leaders of major political parties to come together to seriously discuss and address the economic status of the country.

Gandaki Province Chief Minister Khagaraj Adhikari, who also spoke at the event, remarked that both the political and communications sectors should be free from doubt and suspicion. He likened politics and media to the two wheels of a chariot, stressing that both sectors should maintain transparency and trustworthiness.
